The New iPhone XR and XR Max

Image result for iphone xrWe all knew that there is a pattern from apple when they release a new iPhone. Every September a new iPhone releases with some additional features. However, the new iPhone Eleven does not have any new features that astonish iPhone users. I mean if you have used iPhone 10, you have almost all of the same features. Even the new iPhone starts at a lower price than the iPhone XS, it is still expensive. The new iPhone XR has a dual-camera and you can record with the three cameras at the same time. Also, you can use the selfie camera at the same time with the back Camera. In other words, you can record yourself while videoing a beautiful landscape. This is really nice, right? well, yes but the XR costs 700 dollars and above while XR Max costs 1100 dollars. In my opinion, if you have an iPhone X or iPhone XS, you do not have to upgrade because upgrading a phone every year is pricy. Hence, my recommendation is to wait until next year. Perhaps they will release a better phone with a lot more cool features than three back cameras.

Wheelchair Repairs

When my wheelchair broke down unexpectedly, I thought it would be a simple, quick fix. Little did I know, it would turn into a journey filled with lessons about patience, persistence, and the complex world of insurance approvals. Here’s my story—and what I wish I had known from the start. The Breakdown It was an ordinary day when I noticed my wheelchair wasn’t functioning properly. A strange noise, sluggish movement—I knew something was wrong. I called my mobility technician, hoping for a quick appointment. Thankfully, they managed to fit me in the next day. The technician did a thorough check and identified that the motor needed replacing. That’s when the real process began. Repairs like this aren’t just about swapping out parts; they require detailed documentation, a prescription from my healthcare provider, and—yes—insurance approval. The Waiting Game: Insurance Approval I submitted all the necessary documents, thinking, "How long can this take?" It turns out, quite a whil...

Happy Disability Pride Month

Disability Pride Month In July, we celebrate Disability Pride Month. I want to write an essay each week to share the daily struggles that people with disabilities face. Many think that being disabled only means having trouble with walking, but it's more complex. People with disabilities deal with many challenges, from drinking a cup of coffee to finding good jobs that help them  live better and make money. Sadly, when people with disabilities do earn a little money, they often lose their support from the government. For example, if a person with disabilities makes $80 a month, their social security benefits drop by $40. This means they lose almost half of their income. This income limit feels unfair and makes it hard for disabled people to earn enough. In fact, the government seems to discourage them from working by imposing penalties. Also, if someone with disabilities saves too much money in their bank account — like reaching $2,000 — they could lose their benefits. It's impo...

Going to Places as a Disabled Person

Navigating the world with a disability can often be a challenging experience, especially when it comes to transportation. The first hurdle is finding an accessible ride. Ideally, a van with a ramp is the best option, allowing you to independently enter and exit the vehicle. However, not everyone has access to such a vehicle. In such cases, someone must assist you by lifting you into the car, folding your wheelchair, and driving you to your destination. This can be frustrating, particularly for those who prefer the independence that a power wheelchair provides. Unfortunately, power wheelchairs are heavy and cannot be folded, making them impractical for travel without a ramp-equipped vehicle. One alternative is to book an access transit bus, which offers a shuttle service from your home to your destination. While this option seems convenient, it comes with its own set of challenges. These minivans are often dimly lit, with tinted side windows that restrict your view to the driver and the...
